Student Rights Unit

The Student Rights Unit is a unit to educate and educate male and female students about their rights within the university and support it in accordance with the university’s regulations and regulations and in a manner that achieves the student’s principle of belonging to the university and preserving public property and contributes to forming a positive relationship between the student and the university community based on observing duties and preserving rights in An environment that contributes to creating an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect at the university.

Objectives

Examining complaints submitted by students
Providing the necessary advice to students regarding their academic and non-academic problems related to the university in accordance with the university’s rules and regulations
Informing students of their university rights and duties towards their university and how to obtain them through the regular and official channels within the university.
Adoption of the concept (know your rights and your duties) as a mainstay in building an ideal society
Supporting the rights of students on the basis of compatibility with the applicable rules and regulations of the university and in a manner that does not conflict with them.
Student Disciplinary and Behavior Regulations
Regulations for the use of smartphones on the university campus
1- The student has the right to use the mobile phone without using the mobile phone in violation of the rights of others.

2- It is forbidden to browse on the phone by using it for self-portrait, photographing female colleagues, using social media applications such as Snapchat for photography, circulating video clips from inside the campus, or using video communication applications in communication.
3- It is forbidden to use a mobile phone at all in the lecture hall and laboratories during study lectures or practical lessons, and its use is restricted only in public places in a manner that respects public morals for its use.
4- It is strictly forbidden to bring a mobile phone into the examination hall.

5- It is forbidden to use mobile phones and music players at a loud volume that is not suitable for the university campus, which leads to confusion on the students, the faculty and the administrative staff and causes chaos on the campus.

6- Every act in which the mobile phone is used as a tool for defamation of others or an explicit violation of their personal or work privacy such as using the mobile phone to photograph any official papers or documents that the student is not entitled to view, or audio recording of faculty and staff members or photographing them with intent to offend or defame or any other A form of harm, even if it is related to family issues between them. It is a crime in which punishment is carried out within the university and transferred to the judicial authorities to take the private and public right based on the fight against information crimes.

7- Parents may be informed of and aware of disciplinary issues related to the use of phones equipped with a camera. The mobile phone is not delivered except to one of the student’s guardians, or it is destroyed after a semester in the event that the student or one of her relatives did not ask about it, as deemed by the university administration.

8- The university staff, including administrators, faculty members, or guards, may have the authority to withdraw the violating device when needed from the female student in the event that it was caught without inspection in one of the previous cases, and accordingly it is handed over to the female students’ affairs, which in turn puts it in the hands of the standing committee for disciplining students at the university to take the necessary action.

9- Any misuse of smart phones with the intention of material or moral extortion is considered a major crime that requires arrest, according to Ministerial Resolution No. 2000, dated 10/6/1435 AH, so (20) the affected party has the right to file a complaint for his own right with the relevant authorities.
