Objectives of the Student Fund Administration 

  • Reviewing the proposed budget plan for the Fund, as well as any amendments thereto, in preparation for its approval by the head of the educational institution or the competent minister.

  • Examining ways to increase the Fund’s financial resources.

  • Recommending the acceptance of grants, endowments, donations, and gifts presented to the Fund, in accordance with the financial regulations governing universities.

  • Evaluating the feasibility studies of investment projects as a preliminary step for their approval by the head of the educational institution or the competent minister.

  • Subject to the provisions of the previous clause, the Board of Directors shall approve and adjust, as necessary, the prices of goods and services provided through the Fund’s investment projects.

  • Studying the Fund’s final accounts after being audited by an external auditor, in preparation for their ratification by the head of the educational institution or the competent minister.

  • Ensuring that the Fund’s operations are carried out in accordance with its governing regulations and approved budget.

  • Approving the appointment of the Fund’s employees and collaborators.

  • Determining salaries, allowances, bonuses, and any other benefits for the Fund’s employees, provided that they do not exceed what is stipulated in the Civil Service System and its regulations, as well as the Labor Law, pending approval by the institution’s council or the competent minister.

  • Proposing amendments to the Fund’s regulations in preparation for submission to the institution’s council or the competent minister for appropriate action.

  • Submitting periodic reports to the head of the educational institution or the competent minister detailing the Fund’s activities, operations, and financial status, in addition to submitting a comprehensive annual report on the Board’s work.

  • Considering matters referred by the head of the educational institution or the competent minister, or proposed by the Chairman of the Board or any of its members.

  • Assisting students whose social and economic circumstances necessitate financial support.

  • Providing loans to students facing urgent or emergency situations that affect their daily lives.

  • Contributing to the support of student trips and events with social, cultural, or educational purposes.

  • Supporting student-led projects with social, cultural, or educational goals, such as establishing snack bars, printing research papers and study notes, and offering training in certain vocational skills.
